Honestly, this is something that annoys me. I realize there's probably a language barrier in some cases, so I'm willing to forgive in those cases, but still...

Someone please tell me why 99% of items with a Mythosaur skull on them (a Mandalorian quasi-mythical beast) are labelled as Bantha skull? This...irritates me.

Mostly I'm annoyed that I couldn't get the wicked cool Mythosaur skull steel ring, but again, why must everyone think a Mythosaur skull is a Bantha skull? I mean, the horns on a mythosaur come from the lower jaw and the horns on a bantha come from the top of the skull- haven't these people ever seen the movies? It's obvious that a Bantha is a bad, bad cross between a ram and a tuskless woolly mammoth, with some chameleon in there for that weird prehensile tongue.

Yes, I realize I'm crossing into a new level of geekness, but argh!

The simple answer is: it's labeled as a Bantha skull because nobody knows what the hell the Mythosaur is. But everybody knows what a Bantha is.

So just take a deep breath and relax, and remember - none of this is real. Ewoks and Jedi and Stormtroopers and George Lucas are all a figment of your imagination.

I know, but it's like going to a Renaissance event and seeing Vikings chow down next to Mary Queen of Scots and Eleanor d'Aquitaine...yes, technically, they are all within the 900-1750 time frame, but that doesn't mean they belong together.

And Jedis are too real- they're a recognized religion now. Myah.

OMG - you guys know about the 2001 Jedi Census Phenomenon, well check this out;

It would have been our second largest religion if it was counted! (I was one of those sad, geeky people...)

Do we need to have a vetting system for this too, perhaps? Login only after email verification, etc? I don't know how this stuff works but this is getting ridiculous!!

Do you think I should drop them a line and casually mention that the name is already, kinda, TAKEN?! The only difference seems to be a slight mis-spelling with an a where the o should be...

Casca, my darling, I play SW d20 every weekend. It's how I got started in SW in general. You are not alone. Going to start playing Call of Cthulu next, I think.

I'm waiting for our GM to roll a KOTOR game, but he's getting burnt out on Star Wars at the moment, the bastard. Hence Call of Cthulu instead of running more SW.

I'd offer to GM, but I think my friends would kill me.

I doubt any of our group has even thought of taking over GM-ing. The guy who runs our games is a natural and so enthusiastic! So we are prepared to wait a little...

Sadly, we have two other certified GMs in our group, but I won't play unless Joven is GM'ing. He knows us all so well, can lead us into traps, etc. I can't imagine playing with another GM, honestly.

Saga Ed makes so much sense, once you learn the basic mechanics- it's very user friendly.
