I would like to submit some artwork to join swag, but when I try under the guild application I get a message saying, You cant create more nodes of this type for this user. What should I do?

Xanamiar

I believe the system is in the process of being reworked, if I remember correctly. It may just be some bugs that are in the system at the moment. The application can be found Here. If you are still having problems, I'd say try again at a later date. Until Eclipse get's the board stuff done, I believe they have put new artists on a hold cycle, making you circle the airport so to speak.

But as soon as everything is up and going They can get to the applications.

I'm sure we would all love to see your work...

having a similar problem with submitting the images

hai, wasop?

I have a question since I´m one of those new guild members. How long does it take for an image you uploaded to show up? They have to be approved? I´m asking just because I don´t know, I did a couple uploads yesterday and can´t tell if they got through and have to be approved or if they got lost or something.

Xanamiar

They have to be approved Wookie ... It takes a day or two usually, sometimes a little more.

And just so you know Wookiee has two e's :)

Judas

I thought Wookiee was always spelled with two e's.... (time to pull out the old reference material again:P)

Hisham

I just checked Marvel's Star Wars #2 - part of the movie adaptation. There have been indeed 2 "e"s in Wookiees since forever.

wookiebastard

I grew up with the spanish translations of the original trilogy with Chewie being translated to Jury, Threepio to Tripio, R2-D2 to Arturito and Death Star being Estrella Mortal. But I´m 100% certain it was Wookie and not Wookiee before. I actually thought Wookiee was a spelling mistake the first time I noticed it.

"In early publications, the word Wookiee was often spelled as just "Wookie". " @ Wookieepedia

{Yoda}See this thread go awry you will.{/Yoda}

I'll have to agree with Hisham on this, for at least the native english versions of print and publications, since the original trilogy, it's always been "Wookiee". If there ever was a rare instance that it was written as Wookie, it most likely was an erroneous typo (Typos even happen in novels today.

Though, as exampled, when it comes to the language translated versions of anything Star Wars, its pretty up in air as to how the translation will come out, and usually dependent on who's doing the translating.

Whatever is written on the Wookieepedia, I take with a grain of salt, especially that single line which anyone could've added in there; since typically some further dissertation or disambiguation would be provided.

Wookie isn't soo bad... Could be worse, such as a username of "Willy Wokiee and the Ruka Root Factory"

quick question, i know that ya guys said it takes a few days for pics to be approved,
i was just wondering what it says when you upload it. does it say that a document was created or somthing like that?
i was wondering cause i just wanted to make sure i uploaded it right.

another question, what happen to the sabacc deck, i was reading your rules and was sorta interested in trying it out.

TNJadeonar

Ok, when you goto the Submit Image, fill in the fields - title, description, select your image tags, then hit submit, you will then be taken to the actual gallery page with your image and description displayed, and comments box below. Basically the page is up, except it won't show on swag's front page since it has to be approved by the admin staff. So yeah. the page link in your browser address is and will be the link to your gallery image, (comments and all). A few days to a week later, you'll see it on the front page.

Very simple and easy process. Even when your image is larger than the 815x815 size, as the upload process automatically re-sizes it to fit for you. (i always do my renders at 1680x1050 res which can be seen at my deviant account.)

Hi!
I didn't wanted to open a new thread to ask this, so I decided to do it in here. When you make the guild application, is there some way to know wether you've been rejected, or you just don't get anything? (Yes, I did send an application, a pair of weeks ago, and haven't had any news).

Thanks to anyone who can answer me. And I love the site and all the artwork. :)

Xanamiar

The best way to tell is that you'll have access to a forum you've never seen before if you have been approved, and you can submit work to your gallery. Also if you click on your name, you'll see the main gallery right now ((the recently uploaded gallery)) when you get approved, you'll see only your own stuff in your profile. ((Which means it will be blank the first day.)) As far as if you are rejected, I have no idea what they do at that point, I'm sure they will let you know though, I don't think they'd keep you anticipating a response.

Sometimes it takes a while to be approved/rejected, it depends on several factors. But enjoy yourself here. And I agree, I love this site and all the artwork too :)
