Forum Guidelines Question

If we've edited a request, can we make a post strictly to inform readers that it has been changed?

I suppose it technically counts as a bump, but if the request has been completely re-vamped, is it technically a new request, by the same rationale?

Or do edits show up as new or unread posts, to draw attention to the fact that it's been changed?

If you do it once, we won't say anything... it's the people who periodically change their request a little bit, just to get it bumped back up that is annoying.

The basic rule is... Treat SWAG Request forum for what it is. A REQUEST forum. The artists give freely of their time here, and don't need someone to constantly bump their thread to the top trying to get noticed. It's not fair to the other 100+ threads that haven't been excepted.

Be kind to everyone.

On a side note, if you are going to completely revamp it, then I suggest make a new request, and ask for the old one to be deleted. Keeps the threads cleaner of posts. And let's the artist know that obviously it's been changed, since it is a new thread.

I think I understand.

I know the rules for bumps, and I would never debase myself in such a way while insulting the fine artists and visitors to the site.

However, given that it is technically a new request, I'll technically bump it rather than leaving it to be cleaned up while I make a new request. I did change everything about it, for what it's worth. I'll even link to this thread so everyone knows I didn't do it flippantly.
