Out on the range...

A lonely Rodian 'cowboy' tending to his herd.

This was a doodle that grew into a simple scene, and a chance to experiment with my brush pens. I typically use pigmentliners for all outlining. On this one I used the black brushpen to try and give the line thicknesses a little variance.

Judas

This totally reminds me of Cobalt 60.  Huh?  You other old folks know what I'm talkin' about, right?

Great pic, man!

Tusserk

...it reminds you of a radioactive isotope??

(But, YEAH! This is great! Of course, creature pics always make me super happy, and this is great. Markers are great fun to work with, aren't they??)

Judas

*sigh* I forgot that Australia was a post-apocalyptic wasteland populated by roving bands of bikers, roving bands of child cultists, and roving bands of Mel Gibson (you can have him back any time, btw).  Thus, some of the more obscure comics of the ages may not have survived the trek to your shores.  Or they were eaten by sharks.

I jest, of course.

It was the spiders.

Awesome possum! I'm a huge fan of using markers too! I recomend Prismacolor, as their ink can expand to fill in tough shapes without having to worry about going over a line. Keeps everything nice n neat. What kind did you use here?

Speaking of possum.... I wonder if there's a possum-esque species in star wars....

Thanks! These are Prismacolors. I have a friend who swears by Copic (sp?) But I haven't tried them yet.

I saw a dude once with a caricature stand in the Orlando airport who was getting effects like this out of Crayola markers. If I could make that work, it would certainly be more cost effective. As it is though, I've collected a pretty good set of Prismacolors.
