Yeah, it's just a regular, retracted lightsaber. I fooled around with the lightning for a bit and I'm still not 100% happy with it, but it's not too bad.
I'm not sure I entirely trust the lightwhip on general principal. You have got to get that tangled round your hand at least once and then it's goodbye to your fingers. I mean, it looks cool on the pictures but you never see a picture of a bad lightwhip user - maybe I'll do one! Someone tangled up in it thinking "Oh S**T!".
I'm guessing that they're meant to be electricity as opposed to the cauterising effect of the lightsaber, or you really would take off an arm training with it!
