I realized that as I was drawing him and decided to go with it! He's like a combination of Mutant from This Island Earth, Cronenberg's The Fly, and a ghost buster. A winning combination!

There actually isn't a gradient! I keep seeing it too, but I didn't apply one, so I think it's an optical illusion. Still kinda cool, though. lol
