I was chatting with Hisham about this character scene. I told him I had woked a little on a scetch. He said he wouldn't mind if I finished and posted it here so he could see what I was working on. So Hisham, Here it is.....Once again with the no color thing. I am working on getting Photoshop CS3 ( and some instruction through a friend that teaches it at OSU Newark branch) so we will see later.

Will probable add some boots scampering up a ladder and a hallway later.

I really like it, if I have any criticism, it's that the right arm seems too close to the body and at an awkward angle. I know we aren't all going to be graceful as we die, but hey, we can try right? Anyway, yeah... his arm seems tucked into his body too close, although I like the blood dripping off his hand thing, very realistic in the way the character is faced with his own mortality. I think the black and white actually works for it really well. If you adjusted the levels so that the background color was actually white, I think it would look superb.

After haveing been shot in the same side as the pic, I sorta kept standing the way I did and looking in the mirror. If you have ever broken a rib you know you like to keep presure on it. I accually had to reduce the angle on the forearm because it looked to much like someone elses arm sticking out to me. I agree that it looks ackward, but after being through a simular situation as the pic....I know why he stands that way. I didn't show him cussing like I did though, and I'll bet that a blaster would hurt more...though I think it would have sealed the damage, and left little if no blood.
