After the system seems to have eaten my first attempt at sharing this, let's try again!
Because I love torturing myself with overwhelming projects, I decided that I wanted to make a video for our final session of the campaign. Rina most graciously gave me a hand creating a bunch of the artwork for it, because I knew there was no way in heck I could achieve what I wanted by myself in the amount of time I had (which was about two months). Some of it still ended up being thrown in as a last minute rush... but there are a number of little sequences I'm genuinely really really proud of! Almost all of this is hand drawn- I also pinched and split a handful of .gifs featuring stars/galaxy stuff which are hell obvious when I used them, there are a couple of backgrounds I filmed from SWTOR and the final clip is just directly a cutscene (specifically put in there to lead up to our final boss battle), and the fire overlay I used a couple of times I filmed from an actual bonfire.
Anyway, it's full of memorable moments, a lot of in-jokes I guess, it was reeeaally well received by the group and got laughs and 'awws' in all the right places. The Youtube upload is pretty miserable quality and it's full of little matrix glitches that I can't explain, but it looked awesome on our TV. Figured I'd share it with you guys. :)
Very awesome Tusserk... .. must have taken a long time to get it all pieced together.
Holy cow! That's great! How long did it take you?
Eclipse
Thanks guys. ^^
It took... errrf, about 99% of my free time for roughly two months? Including a number of nights that I stayed up far longer than I'd like to admit, heh. I'm not sure I even want to try and translate it into hours! But I had a lot of fun, and definitely managed to learn a bit while putting it together. Part of me wants to go back and re-draw/clean up all the parts I had to rush to actually get it finished in time for the session.
This was truely EPIC. Made moreso by the fact that my lady and I were recognizing events from all of your privious art. Great stuff, and thanks for sharing it with us outside the group.
Extremely Awesome!!!!
Very cool.
LOL. THAT WAS SUPER-AWESOME!!!!!!
That looked like such a great campaign to be a part of! What a fantastic job bringing it to life. I'm so jealous of the quality you put on the screen. Doing something like that has been a little secret dream of mine for a long time, but I've been too scared to even try such an undertaking...and you have done it beautifully!
