I'm really pleased with this one! I do think the picture looks best as a thumbnail, though.
The background is modelled after a screen shot in 'Blade Runner'. I may have finally figured out how to do that 'rain on concrete' effect I was finding so difficult! Hooray!
Let me know if anyone has any suggestions or pointers. Otherwise I'll just load it to gallery.
Cheers,
~ Mercy
The Space Maven
Drig is planning an online RPG campaign for our group, and I made a Snivvian character named Morbyn Zeno. This is his old, trusty starship: The Space Maven!

My first thought on this was a tank with snowcat tread, 2 back hoe arms and an R2 unit where the turret should be.....as cool as that would be....would be a tad on the impractical side on a ship so I drew this.

Personal Request from Cenedra_Nasio to compliment the other pictures I have done for the various people in the game she plays. Here's the description:
"Alusair Farstrider is a decendant of a Miraluka Jedi Master who had Farseeing. The Miraluka forsaw that she would have an ultimate grandaughter who would follow in her footsteps in the ways of a Jedi and help bring balance the Force someday. So going against the Jedi code, she had a child and then sent her to live with a foster family who raised the child and from there the bloodline started.

Personal Request for a Wookiee pirate/mercenary from sloop.
He has a cybernetic face-piece, built something like a breath mask, to make up for losing most of his jaw and part of his left cheek to Trandoshan slavers when he was much younger. He is well past middle age, for a Wookiee, and though somewhat on the lanky side he makes up for his lack of bulk by being both dexterous and cunning. He has charcoal coloured fur that is beginning to have traces of grey in it now, due to his age.

My inspiration for this guy is none other than guitar legend Jimmy Page, of Led Zeppelin fame, and his distinctive double necked guitar.

Thanks to the magic of MySpace, I've recently tracked down an old friend of mine, by the name of Jason Keith.

SO, coming up on a year now, I finally have the color flats done and am quite happy with how this has turned out. I should be another few days with the shadows and the crates for the background.
Almost done, V-Man. You have the patience of a saint...

So here is the initial draft for Rylis. I'm going with a hybrid Appleseed/Ghost in the Shell feel for the body armor. Helps that I actually have real models sitting here on my desk of both :)
Also, she is standing in water so there will be reflection in the water I hope. This is a guinea pig try for me, we shall see how it turns out.
Let me know what you think
