Spam is bad, we don't like it, and it is, if possible, worse when in arabic because, not only is it spam, but none of us can read it anyway (well most of us) so it's totally missed its market anyway. With that in mind, I've taken some extra steps to ensure that we receive less of it. The system should, for the most part, be fairly unobtrusive if you're not a spammer.

I just want to take a moment and publicly recognize you. Since you first joined us, your art has gotten progressively better and better, and not only that, you're prolific! In the short time you've been here, you've encouraged other artists to submit their art through your own submissions, given greater insight to your own process by regularly blogging, and just all around, been a really nice person :-)

I'm a little behind on publishing, so rather than publish EVERYTHING and have some stuff not spend a little time on the front page, I held onto a couple images. They'll go up shortly (for the artists who submitted them) so fear not! :-)

I have good news to share! I am going to be a daddy. My wonderful wife of nearly 5 years is pregnant with our first child. I just wanted to share this good news with my extended SWAG family. I hope life finds you all as happy as it has found me.

It's been a while since I posted anything on SWAG, the future of SWAG, the present of SWAG... any SWAG really. Seeing as how I actually AM doing stuff, I figure I should let the community in general know what's going on, and where we're going next. I talk a lot about Drupal, because it's so important to making SWAG function day in and day out, so for those of you NOT in the know, a quick run down of what's going on on that front.

SWAG runs on Drupal 5 currently. Drupal 6 has been out for a few months now (9ish I think). SWAG hasn't been upgraded yet for a number of reasons:

So, tomorrow the wife and I leave for Budapest, Hungary. We'll be visiting Budapest, Szeged and if all goes well Vienna as well. This website runs, as many of you know, off of a software product called Drupal. Drupal is a content management framework designed to help sites of all sizes easily manage their content, and I've been as heavily involved in their community as possible for about 2 1/2 years now. The next Drupalcon is happening in Szeged, Hungary, and that's why we're going.

Well, we're back up and running. I had some weird issues with a particular image, but after some research and work, all appears to be well and functioning again (YAY!). With all of that said I'm going to take this moment talk a bit about SWAG's future.

Well, I've temporarily run out of hard drive space for SWAG. I should be able to fix this issue come Monday, or Tuesday. Just bare with me folks.

Had some dns issues, hopefully they're all worked out now. :-)

So, our upgrade should be finished at this point. I'm not too sure if everything is 100% back to working at this point so we may have to hunt down some bugs and such. If anyone finds any bugs, let me know and I'll get to work squashing them.

We're on a new server, but this is still temporary as we really do ultimately need to be up on a server of our own. Anyway, different problems of different times.
