So we were playing a game of SW rpg and the DM decided to have use take on a nest of Xenomorphs. Well this was happening on the wookiee home world Kashyyyk. So the hosts for the xenomorphs were Wookiees. I thought it be cool if someone could come up with something for a illustration of one of these buggers.

The request seems a bit vague; perhaps you could add a little detail for us.

And I thought the Pred-Alien in AVP2 was a downright nasty ... Wookie genetics now huh? Forget ripping off the gundark's arm. Rip the freakin gundark in half!

Does SWAG even do franchise cross-over illustrations requests now???

I read this while still 1/2 asleep and laughed....I though it said Wookie Allen. I expected it to be a request for a short skinny wookie wearing big glasses making a movie.

Well, in the SW universe, theres humans, humanoids and non-humans that broadly covers all known sw species.

While the Xenomorph term could aptly apply to the shapeshifting sw species... Usually when we're talking about Xenomorphs, its the Xenomorphs meaning face huggers (embryo egg layers), black insect like bipedal creatures with yellow acid for blood and double-tongue jawed mouths. They're usually a favorite to bring in for a table-top session for a one-shot deal or branch into an infinities game but they're still not a sw species. And thats when you call it a cross-over style game. No different if you also bring in the Predator hunter species with their powered invisi-camo armor.

Its still a cool concept, face hugger infected village of wookies, which spawn out a new variant breed of Alien Xenomorphs that now feature some wookie traits... I don't see them using bowcasters, but possibly very adept at climbing Kashyyk's towering trees, and featuring the equivalent of Wookie Rage, being the all-out aggressor instead of the hunt by stealth behaviour.

yeah thats how they came after us in the game. the DM also said he said they had patches of long hair and apper in the usual wookiee colors. Shades of Browns... Blacks... whites...

Heheh, yep... now that ought to inspire one of the swag artists to take on your request... if its not already spoken for ;)

Heheh... later down the road I might be tempted to try rendering up one of these nasty baddies... Kinda like the Neti Female Sith I did, to see if I'm capable of doing it in 3d.

Hey... I might just snap this one up... Would anyone mind?

Curiosity had gotten the best of me and I couldn't pass this one up... I took a dive into Hair & Fur tutorials... Sofar I've got an Alien model half covered in fur.just fussing with the head piece...

looks good so far. What do you plan to do with it in the future? In your blog you said you would be working on the fur more. Did you plan to make it look larger?

Heck yeah, the final result will be larger. But right now, a larger render takes longer ... suppose i can whip out a 2048x1536 sample for ya.

Btw, if you can, lets move the discussion into the blog i linked above.

My plans are to put it into a scene, possibly like a hanger or cargo room - depending what works the best. I've got a blue skinned Twi'lek male that i've been putting together that I was thinking on having the alien sneak up on him or something - coming / cautiously stalking nearer towards the camera as if its sensing / detecting theres prey nearby. And the Twi'lek's hiding around the corner with a worried /concerned expression on his face. He's got a pistol in his hand, and possibly down to his last power pack, or the powerpack's near empty. I might be able to include an A-wing or YT1300 with the landing ramp down. I won't know until I try it and see what works.

I also have like an ancient stone chamber that I can also try...

Would something like that work for you?

:edit: *I might* be able to include / add in or swap in a Wookie character into the pic also... Maybe it'd help bridge the distinction of the furred aliens of similar coat patterning...

The single major determining and limiting factor in the amount of stuff I can populate a scene with is dependant on the 2gb of system ram this machine has. The more I add into a scene, the less quality settings and image size I 'll be able to make the final completed render. I'll have to sink more money in upgrades for this system eventually, but this is what I have to work with for now. Its really tough to gauge how much can I put into a scene before the system runs out of free memory. But I'll try for it and see how much I can do. ;)
