Vidaa Churaan - Jedi Knight/Historian/Archaeologist [Mercy]

Dear Artists of SWAG...

First, let me start with the buttering up of the egos...the art on this site is superb, and I have long admired it's brilliance and creativity...my own art is amateurish by comparison...

Which brings me to the second part of this request, the actually request.

I have this character in my head, and my attempts to draw her have been for nought. She is a human Jedi Knight and Historian/Archaeologist, of Onderonian ancestry. Her description and personality follows, plus a brief summary of her history. For those who are RPG buffs, particularly SAGA edition, she is a Female Human Noble 3/Jedi 4/Jedi Knight 1

Vidaa Churaan

Description: A young (mid 20s to early 30s) woman of lithe build, Vidaa has a soft angeled face, dark hair which is usually kept up in a neat bun, and blue sapphire eyes. Her robes are elegant, yet practical, and bear the Ansatan patterned designs of the Jedi Historians. Her single bladed lightsaber is also elegant yet practical and the grip is again, marked with Ansatan patterns. It's blade is a bright mint-green.

A trained archaeologist and historian, she usually keeps some basic field equipment nearby, and an archaeologist's satchel, stocked with datacards filled with information, recording devices, and a small kit filled with emergency medical supplies for accidents.

Personality: Vidaa is smart and extremely intelligent, and has a reinforced sense of moral and ethical standards. She is a quick study and possesses an almost addictive need, to acquire knowledge...which has allowed her to acquire a vast array of languages, powers, and made her quite knowledgeable on many varying subjects. A trained archaeologist and historian, her skills of deductive reasoning are also advanced, as is her ability to talk for hours in great detail, if given the opportunity...surprisingly though, she talks very little about herself, and attempts to breach her inner walls usually result a quick misdirection to change the topic. She identifies best with the second line of the Jedi Code. "There is no Ignorance, there is Knowledge"

She prefers to solve problems with a fusion of both Sentinel, Consular, and Historian philosophies...using her investigative skills to deduce the full extent of a problem like a Sentinel, research the past for similar situations if possible to help choose a course of action, and generally avoid aggressive solutions that would make it harder to think with a clear mind, in favour of talking...her general preference to avoid aggression, works well with her simplistic yet elegantly defencive version of Shii-cho style, but limits her somewhat in situations where those aggressive stances are required.

Historical Summary: Vidaa was born around 2380-70 years Before the Battle of Yavin, to a Noble House on the planet of Onderon. Her bloodline stretches back to members of the Krath cult during the Great Sith War, and hence it comes to no one's suprise, when Vidaa begins displaying a strong force sensitivity around the age of 12...except Vidaa, who in addition to suprise, suffers a horrible shock. Her force sensitivity manifests itself in a terrible dark side technique, known as "Drain Knowledge" which she uses without meaning too, on her maid. Her maid falls into a comatose state, and Vidaa finds herself overwhelmed by knowledge only the Maid could know. It scares her, as does her parent's seemingly lack of care for the Maid, and she runs away, onto the streets of Iziz City...crying out through the Force for help...which finds her in the form of a Jedi Watchman who takes her to the Jedi temple to be trained...through training, she suppresses her dark powers and the desires to use it to instantly gain knowledge...instead, she trains as a Jedi Historian and Archaeologist, channeling the dark lure of instant knowledge, into a studious nature that makes her adept at acquiring information through study, meditation, and investigation. She struggles slightly through her Padawan years, but finally becomes a Jedi Knight and full fledged historian and archaeologist. Eventually...she even takes a Padawan of her own, as she accepts missions from the Jedi Council to go on expeditions to far away planets dotted with ancient ruins, to retrieve old knowledge and artifacts of a very old Galaxy...
