Request Young Human Scout - Force Sensitive [Lal-Khan]

Hadru Kazo is a healthy young human boy of fifteen years. His shoulder length brown hair is tied back using braids on the left and right side that match the length of his hair, and his bright blue eyes stand out. He is young, but his eyes show wisdom and you get the feeling this young boy is somewhat capable, but it is hard to look past his youth. He is clothing is worn a bit favoring browns, greens, and black colors, but a noticeable out of place yellow scarf stained of blood and sweat covers his nose, mouth and neck and underneath you can see a breath mask. Atop his head rests a pair of goggles for eye protection, and on his hip a field kit. The only noticeable weapons he displays is a knife strapped to the bottom of his right leg, a slug thrower pistol on his waist holster and the barrel of a sporting rifle that his all temperate cloak cannot hide on his back. Overall his clothing is a bit dusty and weathered from expeditions and field work. He also wears a necklace made from natural fibers that sometimes can be seen dangling a red crystal. Hadru is strong in the Force, but he is not trained as a Jedi and doesn't have a lightsaber.

Background of the character-

Hadru Kazo was born on an uncharted planet named Xerus in the unknown regions. Through the millions of years this region of space went unscathed by space farer's because of the intense gravity wells that plagued the area, causing navicomputers to avoid the region, and communications to be jammed. Ships would often fall victim to the gravity wells and crash into the watery surface and sometimes disintegrate in the atmosphere scattering a shower of debris. This is how the near-human species of Xerus were introduced to technology and alien species, thousands of years ago. Beacon satellites have since been place for a safe passage, but it must be a sub-light speeds and takes awhile to navigate to a safe distance for a hyperspace jump.

15 years ago Hadru’s mother was still pregnant with him when the ship they were piloting suddenly came out of hyperdrive it drifted into one of the hundreds of gravity wells and crashed onto the surface of Xerus. The ship was torn apart dodging space debris, barely reaching the planet’s atmosphere. By the will of the force the remaining parts of the ship did not collide with any nearby planetary satellites. Using escape pods his mother was able to survive the crash with her unborn son, only to fight for their lives after they landed. Hardu’s mother died soon after birth from mortal wounds, and other crew members were victim to local diseases. It turned out that Xerus was a very hostile planet to off-worlders because of the microscopic organisms symbiotic to the flora, fauna and natives. As was often the case, many of those that survived the crash before proper quarantine onto the surface of Xerus died later of unknown conditions.

Hadru Kazo was one of the lucky ones, surviving both birth and the hostile organisms of Xerus. After his mother finally died from internal bleeding, he was adopted by a local doctor. It was his mother’s wishes to never contact anyone about the boy, and raise him on Xerus away from war. Doc. Elis was the one that birthed Hadru and promised to his mother to take care of him. The doctor respected her wishes, and understood that there was something special about this boy. A few years after Hadru came into the doctor’s life, his own son was born. The two boys grew up together watching out for one another, often collecting herbs for their father’s medicines, and playing in the fields.

Hadru’s lived a peaceful and loving life, but he could never tame his lust for exploration. Hadru has wanderlust often camping in the wilderness looking at the stars and watching the gravity wells warp the night sky. He has a thirst for life, always asking questions about the galaxy, and everything beyond Xerus, but the doctor gives him little knowledge of the outside world trying to protect him from the harsh life of a spacer. It was Hadru’s mothers wishes to keep him safe from all things off-world and if anyone was to ask about him never to let anyone take him away. Through the years the doctor tried to teach Hadru how to treat the wounds of the injured, but Hadru found himself more interested in exploring the galaxy and never focused on his book studies. He instead spent more time in the outdoors.

Hadru’s sheltered life and mysterious past was never revealed to him, but when a conquering race discovered the peaceful planet of Xerus the doctor knew he could no longer hold the young man any longer from leaving. War broke out, and the Xerus people were systematically being killed and enslaved. The doctor’s influence granted him more protection, after months of bloody genocide only a few strongholds survive. During an ambush attack he lost his son, who died in his arms from a critical wound he could not repair. Hundreds of the savage conquerors died from the deadly microorganisms that populate Xerus, and the captured slaves were spreading the diseases aboard all the ships. It was a time of hope and for a first time the Xerus people thought the war would end, but using bio-tech engineering they dissected the captured slaves and experimented on them, soon discovering an antitoxin for there species and relentlessly and ruthlessly continued the fight with even more vigor.

The serene world of Xerus was now a planetary graveyard. Only the rich could afford to leave on blockade runner ships, and Hadru finally had his wish to leave, but at the expensive of leaving behind a wake of death, and he knew he could never return. The world he knew as home was violently conquered and all he wanted was revenge, but all he could do was run. The doctor paid a small freighter captain a handsome fee to run the blockade. He stayed behind, but before Hadru left the planet his step father gave him a gift that Hadrus real mother had before she died; a small red crystal. He then gave Hadru a long yellow scarf that was a sign of manhood to the Xerus people. It would be the last time Hadru ever saw his step father or home Xerus.

Lorsic Failed Jedi

Just a side note, if anyone is thinking about not using colors that would be great too, I just included some of the colors because of the meaning behind my character, a pencil drawing would make me just a happy as a colored, I would just love to see my character come to life in a drawing interpretation.

I didn't include his environment, but think of him as a fringer, backwater scout/guide. In the desert, tundra, taiga, plans, forest, jungle, I don't really care, even out of place in an urban environment.

Lorsic Failed Jedi

I thought that it may help conjure some inspiration to an artist that was considering to depict the character.

Thank you for the kind words.
