Kazik, Jawa Warlord in 127 ABY [Asok]

Well, since we’re allowed two requests at a time, and since Darth Umbras is staying mostly sunken towards the bottom of the forum, I guess I’ll try to submit something else from my list that might be a little more popular.

The Jawa Warlord Kazik is today’s subject. In 127 ABY, the Tusken tribes of Tatooine gathered together for an offensive against the Jawa clan fortresses. The battle was long, but deadly and resulted in the deaths of many of the cloaked traders. Many clan leaders were murdered and some of the Jawa clans were driven to near extinction by their distant cousins. In the wake of the tragedy, with a vacuum of power amongst the clans, an uncharacteristically militaristic Jawa by the name of Kazik, an orphan not officially affiliated with any of the clans who grew up mostly among humans and offworlders, reached out to the survivors and sought to unite them in their common grief. The Jawas were hesitant at the help and leadership this relative outsider could provide them, but in a time when no others would step forward to take the mantle of leadership, he was all they had. Kazik provided order and organization in a time of chaos, drawing the brokens clans together into one brotherhood of the Jawa race, all the while calling out a dangerous rhetoric that the Tuskens needed to be eliminated. Many Jawas were hesitant at first, being meek, peaceful traders and not warriors, though others, driven by hate and anger at the slaughter of their families stood behind him. Over time, as Kazik made ever clear that the Jawas were in too weak a position to support themselves against further attacks, more drew behind him. Those who did join the militaristic group soon began arming themselves and rumors of war soon followed. Old battle droids from years gone and ancient Imperial walkers abandoned in the sands were refurbished, weapons emplacements were grafted onto the once innocent Sandcrawlers, and the Jawas themselves took up the armor pieces and weapons of fallen offworld soldiers.

Those who did not approve of this armament soon headed for the human settlements and, for the first time in their history, great numbers of Jawas fled Tatooine to continue their way of life elsewhere while now ‘Warlord’ Kazik led his people to the old B’omarr Monastery that once served as the palace of Jabba the Hutt and made it his base of operation. With their power base firmly established, the Jawas began their strike back at the Tuskens, beginning what would soon become known as the Tusken-Jawa War and shattering the relative peace the desert planet had known for centuries.

Kazik,at his base, looks pretty basic for a Jawa, standing about a meter and a half tall and wearing the usual crimson cloak of the Jawas. Over his robed torso he wears the breastplate that looks like it once belonged to a set of Stormtrooper armor and on his upper arms some pretty nasty looking pieces of scavenged armor. All are dinged up and desert worn. Over both the chest armor and robe he wears the typical Jawa bandoliers with packs, storage compartments and the odd grenade. One of his feet should be set up on a damaged and bloody Tusken helmet while in the opposite hand should be a Gaderffi stick, both of which are the spoils are war. As well, on his back is holstered an old blaster carbine he uses in combat and around his neck is a necklace laced with the little metal nobs off the top of a Tusken helmet. The background can be either the setting Tatooine suns or the inside of Jabba’s palace.

Hopefully someone will find this of interest…
