HD-MK3 (HOLOCRON DROID MARK 3)

The HD-MK3 is the creation of Jedi Master Ramon Ramos just shortly after Jedi Civil War and the Dark Wars in 3,946 BBY. Sith assassins, destroyed Master Ramon’s first holocron during the Dark Wars and the loss of his personal holocron wounded him deeply.

Being a tinker in robotics, Master Ramon found himself an old Czerka Corporation GE3-series protocol droid and began to refurbish the unit along with major modifications. Master Ramon renamed the droid HD-MK3 and it would continue perform the normal duties of a protocol droid in addition to acting as his new holocron.

HD-MK3 appeared to be a humble droid, who is ready to serve with a masculine voice and programming. His external plating is made of high strength durasteel, which increases durability and has a cortosis coating, which makes him resistant to lightsaber attacks. Master Ramon rewired his entire frame with materials found inside a normal holocron. A crystalline structure in HD-MK3’s neural network increases his storage capacity beyond those of a standard protocol droid. His optical sensors serve as a holoprojector and recorder. In addition, he is highly resistant to slicing and other invasive programming.

As the years passed, Master Ramon poured all his knowledge and wisdom into HD-MK3. The Jedi teachings within HD-MK3 began to be absorbed into his comprehension circuits. When Master Ramon was in the mist of creating a new lightsaber sequence to teach his Padawan, HD-MK3 made an off-hand remark to his master about how he could smooth out the transition between moves. Master Ramon came to realize that HD-MK3 had transcended just being a droid holocron and had become in a sense a Jedi himself. He granted HD-MK3 more freedom and allowed him to supplement the training of his Padawans with additional information downloaded from the Jedi archives.

After Master Ramon passed away, HD-MK3 came before the Jedi Council and they evaluated him. The council granted HD-MK3 the honorary rank of “Teacher”. He taught younglings the basics of Jedi tenants and early lightsaber combat techniques.

HD-MK3 remained at the Jedi Temple for centuries until the Sith Empire ransacked Coruscant. The raid on the Temple resulted in the lost of much knowledge and the disappearance of HD-MK3. The Jedi found only a severed arm from HD-MK3. To date there has been no trace of HD-MK3.

Picture:
• A Czerka GE3-series protocol droid whose chassis has been modified (something resembling Iron Man’s MK II or MK III armor from the movies) and the head remains the same.
• His color is a dull gold with blue and/or red piping but I‘ll leave that up to the artist.
• There should be a Jedi emblem on the left chest or upper arm of HD-MK3.
• A diamond shape in the center of his chest to represent a holocron tilted.
• His eyes should be showing a holoprojection of Jedi Master Ramon Ramos. Master Ramon Ramos appears to be of a Hispanic background.
• HD-MK3 is in a training room of the Jedi Temple.

I want this. Claim!

A few questions: is there an actual holocron in his chest, or just a symbol of one? What does a Jedi emblem look like? Like the Republic symbol? Do you have any other specifications about Master Ramos?

Thanks Asok, I look forward to seeing HD-MK3 in the gallery.

• Jedi Emblem: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Jedi_symbol.svg
• No,just a symbol. This is what remains of Master Ramon's previous holocron. It is intergrated into the frame.
• Master Ramon Ramos has a couple of scares on his face from the Dark Wars. If possible he should be in a crossed leg sitting position. His hair is kinda like a Elvis Presley style. As a holocron color doesn't matter but just physical markers of a Hispanic person.
• Master Ramon Ramos is based on my friend from work.

Any other questions, just ask?

Lol, Hispanic Elvis Presley. Sounds like my barber.

Do you maybe have a picture of your friend I could see? Or does it not matter?

I don't have a picture of Ramon. I think that Edward James Olmos (Commander/Admiral William Adama) from Battlestar Galactica would do nicely.
