Where have all the starships gone?

Hi Y'all,

I'm wondering what some of our very talented ship artists have been doing for the past few months. We've seen a lot of character art, which is very nice, but I don't seem to recall a lot of starship or even "stuff" submissions, which are always very interesting and fun to look at (and use, for those of us who play the RPG).

Anyhow, just thought I'd generate some conversation.

PS - I may or may not have some request material I could put forward for one of these entrepreneurial artists, were they to show up without their muse - just saying...

Well, the Admiral (premiere deckplan drafter) has been away from SWAG for some time, since before the hiatus I believe. And Jeff Carlisle (AKA Lupis the Bold) has been busy putting his shiny new art in Star Wars SE source books.

As for others, some of us dabble in those sorts of things from time to time, and I'm sure we all have our reasons why we haven't done any lately.

Lately, I heard Drig's girlfriend complaining that he draws too many aliens - and that he should draw more spaceships! I LOL-ed at that.

Personally, doing starships takes a LOT of effort. Some of us are perfectionists. :-)

Whenever I run a campaign I love to draw the players ship. In my starwars universe I tend to do alot of Alderanian ships (Alderanian Royal Engineers) who I have as a specialist in computer systems and AI for the ships. Alderanian ships often have added to their template +2 Int, reduced crew/ semi automated or a droid pilot. I apply the advanced ship template aswell. Partly down to not seeing anything from ARE apart from the War firgate in an old D6 sourcebook. Ive probably got a few pics from old campaigns i could put up with dexk plans. But enjoy drawing and designing new ships
