Member since: 2007I looked around the web, and found a website called www.upcomingcons.com
I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'd love to go to a ComicCon or Sci-fi event sometime, so I thought I'd list some of the upcoming cons here. And let you all know about the website as well.
In Nashville, TN
Nashville Comic Expo - September 14th - 15th
The Nashville Comic Expo is a comic book convention located in Nashville, Tennessee. As long-time comic book fans, the promoters behind the Tampa Bay Comic Con and Orlando Comic Expo wanted to bring a similarly-styled comic convention to the Music City! The convention has exhibitors that cater to a wide-spectrum of interests including comic books, magazines, toys, games, Star Wars, Star Trek, anime, manga, cosplay, artwork, sketches and apparel. In addition, a roster of comic industry professionals and comicdom-related celebrities are in attendance for attendees to meet and greet. As admission is kept reasonable for adults and FREE for children, the Nashville Comic Expo is a family-friendly convention.

That's just a couple of the upcoming ones. Maybe one of these days I'll make it to one.
Ahha.. found one close to me... Encounters in Wichita Kansas.. October 11-13 2013
Comic con and sci fi/anime/steampunk and gaming.
Huh... I live maybe 30 miles north of Nashville and this is news to me. I'll give some of my friends a call and see if they want to go check it out.
Looks like there's another one set for October 18 - 20th, the Wizard World Nashville Comic Con. Wow... I honestly didn't think we got cool events like this here; they're certainly never advertised on the radio, television, or in any newspapers I've seen.

Yeah... I didn't know about the one in Wichita either.... and I live in the city. :)
There's a con in that list in Florida... a Doctor Who Cruise. If I could afford it, I'd go for sure. Taking a cruise with Doctor Who stars.
I had to work, but a friend of mine went to Indy GenCon and bought the beta of the new EotE book. He's running a campaign now and it's the first time in six years of GMing I've actually played a character.
Not nearly enough happens in this corner of the world. :I We make the most of what we can get... but one day husband and I are gonna go rock some cons in the US. One day.
