jeffrobn, it's a really bad idea to post your email address in a request. This is for a few very good reasons;
1) We do have a fair few spammers and , one would expect, trawlers. Don't post your email unless you want to know ALL about viagra...
2) We have a very good PM'ing system here that you can use.
3) I can't speak for everyone here, but I wouldn't send emails to an address I found on the site until contact had been made privately for the same reason as #1.
Bwa, you've been a member here long enough to know that Bumping is frowned upon, and by posting "Bumpi-iii-iiing..." you are in fact bumping. Please refrain from doing so.
Actually, I was replying to jeffrobn, who replied about 1.5 hours before me. His comment: "ok guys thanks for the advice but now its to late.lol but I wont post it anymore. now I just hope that I someone takes my request".
What he said is bumping. I was pointing that out and gently telling him not to.
Asok, You've been a member of this community long before me... You should definately know better. Bwa, I was just kidding, I knew what you meant, however the poster was in fact replying to something that was said. So I had no problem with his post :)
Bella, What are you doing on my sofa? Stealing my spot? :P
Asok, once again... Bad boy, bumping threads like that un-ironically even.
"I believe this request needs to get back on track." said the stuffy old guy in the brown suit. Oh, has anyone else noticed the Bump Keys banner on this site. Ha Ha Ha.
Rozali, boredom is not a good reason to go bumping old threads. I know it's hard to resist the boredom, but this has become so cluttered, it's ridiculous.
Im not to sure what "bumping" is infact and if its not aloud on this site, then I will try my best not to do it(watever it is). However Im not to sure if this request has been taking seriously so I will look else where. In conclusion, I leave you good people this designated spot to post your "bumps"
Oh and Xanamiar, thank you for the advice with my email. I did infact get a whole lot of spam messages in my email inbox. I have noted to never post it again on any open site. Thanks again and good luck with your fan-site.
Jeff, don't leave.. if you like you can repost your request, and this one will be deleted. Bumping is frowned upon around here. And no one meant to take your post off subject that far, I'm sure.
If you repost it, I'll delete this one without a problem. I know Eclipse means this to be a place for people to make requests, not bump threads.
Once again...can someone please explain to me what "bumping" is so that I can keep from doing it. I don't mean to "bump", its just that I have no idea what it means.
Ok I think I have figured out what "bumping" is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's when the requester asks for the request more than once. I say this because I've noticed on other threads were the requester posts again that they want it done, another member will advise them not to "bump". If this is what it means...It will not happen again. And if its ok, I would like to make a new request. Thank you.
Bumping is any person who "bumps" up a post for no reason. You actually didn't bump at all. It was several others who did. And no problem.. Make the new request, and I'll delete this one.
you mean disloyal sith which thinks of meditating and say wise phrases, and be generous to protect and stand guard, doesnt give up, heroic, doesnt leave some one behind and acts as a brother and a friend, with kind warm welcome to acceptance of a policy, listens good, learns well, and follows a jedi code of conduct, obeys a rightful master, risks to sacrifice themselves to protect the fate of the republic and galaxy... but still terrorizes people??? try sayin' THAT in one breath
well, all of that except the Jedi code of conduct. And in a very real sense, terrorizing people is relative. I'm sure all the indigenous species everywhere LOVED having the Jedi come in and tell them how to do things.
I think this is where we start wandering into the realms of the 'Grey Force Weilder'.
Or, perhaps we need to bring back the the old chaotic/lawful good/evil thing?
I always saw the Sith tradition being about power via the font of your emotions and use of it for your own benefit. The opposite being the Jedi - power via calm focus, like the eye of a storm, and its use only for the benefit of others (self-sacrifice, etc).
However, there is an obvious ability to blur the lines here - what about a Force user who is self sacrificing and uses their powers in the aid of others, but draws that power from a tumult of emotions? Or a calm and calculating 'pupeteer' who is detatched and un-empathetic, but uses his powers only for selfish gain?
Dammit - I think we've really highjacked this thread. Jeff, I think you need to re-post this and we'll get this lot moved to 'Community Discussion' or something.
Mucho Apologies!!
And Xan, I've talked to you a few times ex officio of this board, and I know you're not really as stick-in-the-muddish as you're appearing, but man, you do not paint yourself in a flattering light a lot of the time when the seeming majority of what you do is crack on people for bumping. We just decided to poke the badger a bit- I'm sorry we derailed the request, but sheesh, do you realize how you "sound" sometimes? That is a badger that is begging to be poked, repeatedly, until it deflates.
Hmmmm.. perhaps you should see some of the humor in what I posted, rather then seeing it as being really strict... :) (--those are smilies, suggesting that I'm completely messing with them... However, when it causes a requester to think twice about requesting something, I had to take it to a different level. It got way off topic...
I was partially responsible for getting it off topic, and I should have just stopped posting, but I was actually having fun with it.
Don't take yourself so seriously Bella, and don't take me so seriously. I warn people about bumping their own posts, more than anything else. The only reason I posted in this to start with, was to let Mercy know that I had taken care of the original problem with the thread.
Sorry if I sound serious, but I'm never that serious.. I moved this here so everyone could keep up their good time, without having to delete the thread. I would have just deleted it if I was a true "Snark" .. or "Stick in the mud." But honestly, with as much fun as everyone was having with it, I saw no reason to just delete it, and moved it here instead with a new title.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA Today, I did a essay on how the lightsaber is such a much more elegant weapon than other vital modern nukes and stuff, And when I handed it in, the teacher (who thinks Im a very polite young man) says,
"How Illustrative you are! I wish was just cool as you!"
And I said " You should give out more essays like that,"
But then THE BIG BAD WORD comes, and she says, "Though, I think That Star Wars is RiDICULOUS"!
So i classicly said, "Well ya Know, Han shot First." and i simply walked away...
(Can't believe I got to this one before Xan!)

Just a heads-up dude, keep safe.

You beat me to it, but I got the last word in :)
It appears to have become a bit of a running joke to "get here before Xan". Grats, Xan, grats. You're now a fixture.
Ha ha! Yeah, he keeps us all honest!!
LOL... I do my best :)
ok guys thanks for the advice but now its to late.lol but I wont post it anymore. now I just hope that I someone takes my request
Pfft. Bumpi-iii-iiing...

I think I'll change my tagline so it says "bump" at the bottom of every post I write. Haha!!
Am I slowly turning into a supervillain?
Boshuda
Nah, you've been there for years, but they say admitting it is the first step to recovery :)
Pfft. Thanks, Xan. I shoulda been tipped off by the ";)" face~
Budge over on that SOfa!!
You guys have no respect for the triumphant rozali!
Bumps on me!
*slaps Rozali around a bit* .. Shame on you, bumping threads that have finally died. You really should be ashamed of yourself! You are all crazy!

"I believe this request needs to get back on track." said the stuffy old guy in the brown suit. Oh, has anyone else noticed the Bump Keys banner on this site. Ha Ha Ha.
Kia kaha
"Good luck with that, old friend," says the cranky man with no teeth sitting in a wheelchair, with a "BUMP! t-shirt on, right next to him. hehe
LC: I laugh at Google's what-consumers-want-based-on-page-content powerz.

BUmp! woops where did that come from!?

so thats makes me one of those warding of from the jedi to join the sith? fine by me
If there can be Dark Jedi, can there be Light Sith?

re: the title of this thread.
Hey Xan, be careful or you're going to strain your back, throwing all that snark around.
snark?... what snark? :P
Awesome! Thanks for moving the conversations, Xan!!
'Hunting of the'??
Lewis Carroll FTW, Mercy!
