Member since: 2008While I was working on my picture for our group, I started to get down about how long it was taking me.Then I thought it over. When doing one of these pictures, we are creating a scene in a sort of movie. We are the casting directer, Special effects artist, make-up artist, light crew, Directer, Props department, set crew, mechanical engineers....heck, we create the whole dang thing. We even have to put ourselves in character to get each one to have the look we think they would have in any given situation.
As I look around this sight again and again, I am even more amazed at what we pull off. Each one with a style all their own and the ability and desire to just do for no other reason than to have done. Kudos to all the artist here and to all the hard work they do. Thank you Eclipse for putting this together and to Xan for keeping it that way.
My pleasure to help keep the site up... Eclipse is busy with life and getting the new board done. But he still comes on here and makes sure everything is running well.
This site has always been an amazing site for star wars art and those who love doing it, and those who love the games and/or roleplaying in it.
I actually got started on this site about a week before it shut down for the first and only time it shut down. No artists were taking any requests at that point and the site was suffering for it. The artists is what makes the site run well. And the requests that inspire the artists.
It's a great site, and cheers to all you guy's that work so hard to keep it up and going!
I feel like my personal "huzzah" might lack the requisite force in this case.
