Hey guys, watching Silk's vid reminded me;
My little girls wanted to make a movie so they wrote a script and then I helped them make a short movie. (we used barbie dolls) We posted it to youtube last year, and they are still asking me to check it to see how many views they have.
So it's be really cool if any of you were to go, watch all (or even a bit) of it and leave a nice comment. It would really make their day!
They are 9 and 11.
Thanks swaggers.
Haha, reminds me of the movies I used to help my little brothers make, with their Legos and stuff. Sadly, we never figured out how to get it onto the computer for editing.
Also, LOVE their hairstyles. Haha! So nice.

Thanks for commenting Asok! :D
Thanks to DarkLordOfTheKanohi, I'm sure my girls will be thrilled with the comment.
Nawwwwww! 'I will grant you each one wish - but only if you can solve your personal problems.' ... totally won me over, right there! Hahaha!! You tell your girls they've done a bang up job, and are very lucky to be part of such an awesome creative team.
Yeah, I laughed when I read that in their script. They weren't really aware of the negative connotation adults give to the phrase 'Personal Problem'.
I posted a little comment and liked it. ;)
Cute i'll give ya that. lol

Thanks for taking the time John. Now I know what the 'G' stands for!
Pretty cute - I left a comment for the girls using Sara's account.
Cool. Thanks vode.
Y'know, when kids have creative ambition like that at an early age, and its encouraged, with loving support... They'll have a really good shot at actually becoming something great when they grow up, such as an acting career, or even screen play writing to movie producing and directing.
You only have to watch some of those auto-biographies that some actors / actresses make, looking back at their childhood, and showing the audience a little slice of their world when growing up. All those little short home movies made. Many of those actors you get to see that they had a natural talent for it.
Its even more special when its two siblings, since as kids can get along and share the same type of passion and interest while growing up. Its a rarity in the movie industry, yet there are some incredibly well known exceptions, such as the Wachowski Brothers (produced the Matrix Trilogy), Sam and Ted Raimi... to name a few...
I see it as far better than parents who are pretty strict & selfish, forcing their kids through some activity / sport that the parents want the kids to excel at (while the child hates it and doesn't have a choice). Sure, the child grows up excelling in that field of parent's interest, going on to winning olympic gold medals and the like, but really it was paid for at a very steep price. That's just my opinion about it tho.
Anyways, back to a much lighter note; even if for some reason, its one of those passing phases of interest, at the very least, its quality time spent with your kids you'll be able to look back and reflect on in the later years. They're only going to be at that age once, and for a limited time. Enjoy it and cherish it while you can :)
Job well done on the video :)

If your going to complement me, don't tell me my work is neat, cool or awesome. If you really like it, tell me why you like it and what you like about it. Only then I'll take it as a complement.
Thanks TN. The girls will be happy that people are watching it.
When we finished, we burned it onto DVDs, made movie-style covers for them. We even filmed some DVD extras, like interviews with each of the girls and a behind-the-scenes featurette.
The girls did up promotional posters and we invited grandparents and family friends over for the big premiere. It was a black-tie affair (in as much as I wore a bow tie and jacket, and the girls and my wife dressed up in their fanciest dresses).
Everyone who came got the full DVD. :)
That's pretty cool. Especially since a lot of great directors nowadays started off making short films with a camcorder and some random movie editing software.
This makes me think of the time my brother, my best friend and I tried to make a movie with Galidor figures (and if any of you know what Galidor is without looking it up, you get ten points). It was pretty bad because we didn't do any editing and you could totally see our hands move the characters around. We also made The Titanic 3 with legos. That was fun. But I digress.
Definitely keep posting about any more videos y'all make and I'll try to add any encouragement I can.
P.S. I am Dark Lord of the Kanohi, by the way.
Awesome!!! Terribly sweet, I loved it!!
Nice it too reminds of that moments.
