Welcome to SWAG silk. The process is rather simple, but it is taking longer than usual to get artists in, because of changes that are being made in the background. And until the changes are made the owner of the site has stopped adding new artists ((to make the change easier))...

But to apply with the guild, just click "Guild Application" fill out the information needed, and put your work in there. And submit it.

Then, be patient and wait for Eclipse to get everything going on the new front :)

And nice work.. have you ever tried to color them?.. maybe on the computer?.. just a thought :)

Asok

Great line work! But I would suggest a little digital clean up could really make them pop.

Silk, I really like the Zabrack Jedi! And the Assassin droid design is quite interesting with the ragged cape and vibro-sword. In a strange way it looks a little like a cross between a Roman Soldier and a Medieval Knight, the way it has that bucket head, the side face flares, and the armored hip & shoulder guards with attached cape.

Years ago, when SWAG first started up, alot of the artists started out at around skill level like your at currently. Many of them stuck with it at swag here, and have really come along way since then. Its from practice, perseverance and keeping an open ear to other artist's hints, tips, and suggestions on how and where one can improve.

You only have to click on (say for example) Asok's name to go to his gallery, and navigate back to the very last pages to see his earliest SWAG submissions, and compare them to his latest work.

I think if you browse around the hints and tips area of the forum, there's some good lessons there on scanning your drawings, and inking the lines either physically or digitally (and cleaning up some of the lines), which will really make the first noticeable improvement in your skill. :)

Keep at it Silk,

:edit / addendum:

Btw, Xanamair , If you click on Silk's name within the fanart gallery pages in the link samples posted above, it will take you to all of Silk's posted works sofar.

On that high note, I did find a nicely colored version of the Zabrack Jedi -=here=-

cool thanks, im glad you like my stuff. yeah im not sure why but zabracks are one of my fave star wars species to draw( i think its the horns,i dig the sorta devil look with the lines on there faces). drawing robots for star wars is always hard for me cause unless they got the artoo
astromech look i never think my robots look "star warsy" enough, not sure if that makes sense but thats how i look at it. the side flares were inspired by greivus (who i never really liked as a character but i think he freaking amazing from a design standpoint) i kinda wanted them to give a bat-like look to its head.

thanks for the tips i will definitely look them up in the forums,
when it comes to art i'm always in padawan mode, ready to learn.

Yup, thats exactly what it means! You're in!

just note that the gallery will auto-shrink any uploaded images to 815x815 (whichever dimension of the 2 is larger). Incase you were wondering about the gallery image sizes. I usually just do my pics at desired res and upload them anyways.
