Shocking, I know. But true!

(This is me shifting the lively and rather entertaining conversation that started swallowing up one of Rozali's requests here into the discussion forum! :P)

In response to Mr Wookie-with-one-e, hah. Yeah, the name 'Tusserk' is one of the first names suggested for a Trandoshan character in the RPG core rulebook! We figured it was like the 'John' or the 'Steve' of Trandoshans, a nice unassuming name that wouldn't lift an eyebrow. I find it kind of hilarious that you equate them with LotR's dwarves!! Hah! I'd say 'it's the beards' but... well. Now I'm getting mental pictures of Tuss with a beard and a pickaxe... so wrong! So very wrong! XD

Xanamiar

So, as a woman, you can't figure out whether I am a guy or a girl? .. really?

That's so cool! :)

wookiebastard

Tusserk is an "official" trandoshani name? "that shot was one in a million...". When I said Trandoshans are my equivalent of LotR dwarves it´s just because I guess you cannot really tell the difference between female and male trandoshans... in both races, females are confused for males (I mean, At least I think all trandoshans look like males O.o)... so yeah, the mixup with your username and the fact that everybody at one point thought you´re a guy kinda proves my point.

I think Xanamiar is a guy, always have... but at this point, I guess the dark side really clouds everything.

There should really be a "post your pic" kinda thread. It´d be fun to see the faces behind the artists and users of SWAG.

Asok

We had one of those threads once, a long time ago... The gentle fun-poking took a dark turn. I'm down for that sort of thing, if it flies with the crowd.

Also! I'm a... Gran?

Boshuda

Asok

Not in any of the movies, or anywhere I've seen. actually. But I know they have 3 boobies!

I believe a place to list gender in your profile would be nice. Lol.
The GM knows the will of the force.

Mercy

Hey guys!
I agree that having a gender listed, or a profile pic would be useful.
I thought 'Mercy' would be pretty obvious, but I've been mistaken for a dude, too!

Tuss darl, I have to admit - I thought you were a guy too! Sorry!
Also - at one point thought Rozali was a girl... Does that balance out?!

Judas

I thought everybody here was a dude! Females have never willingly hung-out anywhere that I am. LOL!!!

Tusserk

Wookie- the way I've always thought of it is, to other Trandoshans it's dead easy to tell males from females, but for other species the distinction can be harder to make. That's the way I play it, anyhow!

Mercy- haha!! No apologies needed. If I cared THAT much I might have chosen something other than the name of my male RPG character to use over here! ;) I certainly never anticipated getting as attached to Tusserk when I first started playing, but now? I love my little reptile dude persona. Heh.

Xan- I just can't settle on anything!! I think I lean towards thinking you're a guy? But really. Can't. Be. Sure. XD 'As a woman', aaahaha, that makes me laugh. Just like when I hear people refer to me as a 'lady' at work. NOOOOO I'M NOT A LADY. I AM NOT WOMANLY! I'm a giiiiiirl.

Asok- I'm cool with a 'post a pic' sort of thing? I'm always super curious to know 'who people are' beyond the text on my screen. Okay now I'm browsing through photos I already have floating around on the internet to see if there's anything around that I don't mind being the first impression I give to 'strangers'. XD Hey look!! One of my favourite photos of me ever! (I'm the one NOT upside-down.) ALSO I'm not JUST a Star Wars geek ...!!

Drig

On Swag I have been referred to as a she by numerous requesters... Not sure why but I am most definitely a male last time I checked... Does Drig sound like a woman?

wookiebastard

I always considered Drig to be kind of an intergalactic Doug or something O.o

Tusserk, you should start the post a pic thread

Lord Crumb

It usually takes me a couple times reading the fourms to figure out if someone is a guy or gal.

Xanamiar

Very nice pics Tussey ... I enjoy Doctor Who myself, very good series. Where did you meet the cyberman at? That looks way cool.

silk

wait some of you are women....
no it cant be, you have just destroyed everything i believe in...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

Tusserk

'Drig' totally feels like a masculine name to me!

And Xan, hee, I attacked- er, I mean, 'met' the cybermen at Supanova Pop Culture Expo, the only mass gathering of geeks that happens in this country!

Silk... BWAHAHAHAHAAAA. There are womenfolk on the forums. YOU KNOW IT TO BE TRUE!!

Asok

There was a meme floating around here when SWAG kicked back up a couple years ago where artists drew themselves in the Star Wars universe, like Star Wars-y self portraits. That was fun, we should do it again!

Hey, nothing wrong with female sw rpg'ers and artists :)

One of the best players I know is a female (and its not because of her gender, its she's just darned good at rp.) And I know a few guys who are right up there for quality rp.

Likewise with sw art. Gender has nothing to do with one's skill.

As for me... I happily play genders of either character. Its fun as it requires adapting and thinking in an opposite gender mindset.

Oh wait, we're talking about guessing who's gender is what... :P

As Asok mentioned about self sw portraits, here's a self render of: me aka TNJadeonar

Ok, just kidding there... so thanks to the awesomely talented Hisham , here's me: http://www.swagonline.com/node/420 ... And that was from giving him a rough description without even tossing him a photo :)

In regards to Tusserk's Trandoshan character,

TJ is both my first and namesake character, and has a lively crew of two females, Nileeta and the ship's temperamental and witty hologram AI Raven.

Interestingly, given the 3d renders I do, I never bothered or tried doing up a self portrait. Yet for all intents and purposes, I usually just use this as my: online avatar which could be taken as either gender :P

(Bonus Jawa cookies to the one who guesses the cross reference there between both 3d renders and the neutral gender remark)

Lord Crumb

When I played SW:Kotor I & II, I would switch between playing male and female main characters.
I know a few girls who are good at role-playing games.

For anyone who is curious, *it is* possible to make, sculpt, and morph the stock 3d characters I use to do actual people portraits, or make 3d digital versions from people's photos... Its just incredibly time consuming and hard...

Lets take the stock Michael 4.0 @ Daz 3d to use as the base character model. Add the Head & Body Morph addon package (that allows head and body shaping functionality) then start adjusting and playing with the tone and shapping such as piltrim, lacrimal, nose bridge width, etc.

Having spent several evenings , and several hours, and a few hundred sample renders... Here's a Work in Progress of one of my favorite non-sw characters.

Its why I won't be trying to do one of myself anytime soon. ;)

Mercy

I almost exclusively play female characters, strangely.

I like the idea of having a gallery of ourselves as SW characters - unfortunately, I'm *still* waiting for our GM to start a new game up so I haven't actually got a character to draw any more!

Tusserk

Awww, shucks, thanks Mercy!! :D

And woo Silk! Niiiice pic! Totally looking forward to your halloween shots. ;)

silk

just started to work on my costume(gathering materials), still looking for the right wig though.
