I always wonder about the implications of making a post like this whenever I sign up for a given online community. I don't want to come off as self-important, all 'stop the presses, I'm here', but I would like to introduce myself.
As I understand, the site has recently encountered some untimely technical difficulties. I hope I can still find my way around while our outstanding techs work out all the kinks. That said, I've been watching from afar for some years, borrowing pictures here and there to use in campaigns (Props to all the artists, btw.) and decided to go ahead and create an account. But I digress; it's good to be here, and, as far as I can tell, I think I've submitted an application to contribute some of my own work throughout my years of GMing Star Wars.

You've posted in the right place, as far as I can tell! I don't think we have any permanent/sticky sort of 'introduce yourself' type posts... if we did, I sure missed it, heh. That said, every now and then a thread seems to surface in the Community Discussion forum where we share a little about ourselves.
At any rate, I for one quite enjoy knowing who else hangs out on this here website, so (speaking for myself, at the very least!) thanks for introducing yourself! I still sort of consider myself a newbie around here, but have definitely grown rather fond of this little corner of the internet. Here's to seeing more of you around the place!

I'm glad I got a response so quickly; I was wondering if I'd hear from someone before I had to head out on the road for a couple of days. About a half an hour from now I'll be omw to a Pixies concert in Wisconsin. Good times!
Is there any way to check whether or not my application has been submitted? I had to mess around with some cookies settings; I'm using a friend's computer, and I'm not sure if it went through. Up at the top of the page, in the center, is a 'Guild Application' link that's been silently taunting me for some time...
There's a few folk around who have the power to check whether your application does indeed exist (me not being one of them!) --most of them are around pretty regularly, so I'm sure they'll give you the word as soon as they see this! Anyhow, seems like you'll be a-travellin' as I write this, so chances are there'll be a more definite answer for you, and most likely a few more 'hellos' by the time you get back.
It's in! Your stuff is awesome! Do you have access to a scanner? Your work is getting voted down because your pictures are so fuzzy! Is there another way you can post images without taking snapshots of them? I like your style!

'Voted down' as in taking a few hits, or as in already condemned?
I think I might know someone who has an old scanner I can use/buy. Can't say the quality will be much better, but it's worth a shot. Might be a few days though. Alternatively, I've got a few friends with better cellphones; I'll talk to them and maybe get some higher-res pictures taken.
On a side note, Tusserk, I've got an old incomplete sketch of a Trandoshan Jedi NPC from one of my campaigns that I think you'd be interested in.
The Pixies were awesome; they came out for two encores!
I'm so cool I had to have a browse of YouTube to familiarise myself with who the Pixies are! Haha. Nice, though. Live music is awesome in a way that nothing else is. I'm kind of bummed that I'm probably going to miss Ben Folds yet agaaaaaaain...! Augh, one day.
And I'm getting more and more keen to see some of your stuff... muahaha, anything Trandoshan is guaranteed to get me happy!!
Ok, I've scanned the majority of my good drawings, and am ready to resubmit an application. I must say I like the way my stuff looks scanned in much better than the cellphone pictures. Applications away!!!!!
Edit- it seems this user all out of nodes of this type. Whom should I ask about getting me another node of that type?
Eclipse would be the person to see.. however, my suggestion is to upload it to Deviantart, or another free to use site, and link the pictures here. Then those who are voting on your current application can see the pictures for their good quality... And the rest of us can see them as well :) .. which is just a positive for us.
Meh, I don't want to register a deviantart account. I'd just as soon get a mac laptop and hang out at starbucks :P

Well, I haven't heard back about my application, either being reset so i can submit the scanned-in pictures, or approved/denied, but I guess since I've got the DA link up I don't /really/ need to have my art featured here. I'd still like to be a part of the community and be able to contribute to the site though.
Anyone who might know how i should proceed, let me know plz, and thanks!
