Member since: 2007I sometimes peruse the web for shows and series not normally available via regular TV. A few years ago, I became enamored to foreign Mystery/Detective shows from Scandinavia, Italy and Germany like "Wallander", "Inspector Montalbano" and "Beck" to name a few which led into searching the lbrary for books on the same series (which the the shows are based on) as well as culturally related books of the same genre like "Smilla's sense of Snow". All intriguing, interesting, culturally different and great reads compared to the western hollywood fare we are accustomed to.
Yesterday, I came upon a 'new' series called "Commander Hamilton" which has origins in Sweden around 1998. In the opening credits I recognized two actors one of which i thought was maybe a familiar name who's etiology may have been from the same area. As i got into the plot, the show went to a supposedly American business as part of the subterfuge woven into the story and low and behold .... Mark Hamill (!!) ....playing a business manager/owner/supervisor who may be more than what we see on the surface! (the plot thickens!)
Pretty cool to see an actor exploring other not so obvious venues, in his career field! :)
