Just thought i'd post my sketch as well. This was kind of a rough request for me and has gone through several different versions till I finally decided it was time to stop sitting on it, so here it is!

Lady......? (Unnamed)

She's unnamed at the moment, sorry.

Ok, heres a new SW render I'm working on... I'm using some stuff I bought that I hadn't had a chance to use before.

Nope, she's not a Zabrack, they've been over-used as Sith IMHO. Horns / tusks are purely on the helmet and shoulder paldrons. She's human or near human, at the very least humanoid species. ;)

Technicalities present:

I realize the lightsaber blade is a bit jagged - its a glitch i'm working on. I will say though, its my first attempt at doing a 'lit' lightsaber.

Theres also a lightsaber hilt floating in mid air, that one i'm trying to model, its not quite finished yet. I don't quite like the one that in her hands right now, and nor is she holding it properly in both hands.

Right now I'm trying to get the general stance / posture done, and one where the lighting from the lightsaber has the most effect. Only light sources in the scene are the lightsaber, and the fire burner bowls.

Later i'll be finishing the new lightsaber, and try make a more suitable texture for the walls and columns. Using a bought texture pack right now called Forgotten Temple... Still, suppose its better than the default Pharaoh texture scheme...

Comments, suggestions, constructive criticism / critique? ;)

Btw, click for larger version: -=here=-

::Update::
Here's another 2 characters i've made for the scene... I've got something interesting in mind for these two. Just disregard the funky sky and default postures - I was rummaging through my virtual warddrobe to dress them up for their roles. Sith - Master and Apprentice. Also going to try for some Sith Hounds...

So what possibly could I have in mind, suppose you ask? I've got a Lady of the Sith, I've got a Master and an Apprentice in a second picture. And I'm still going for a Sith Hound. I'll let you ponder that ;)

And yes, I'll be giving them their own singular character portraits apart from the feature scene.

Watching the Holocron

Okay, as per Lord Crumb's request here, one master and padawan pairing learning from a Jedi Master's teachings stored in a holocron. This has the base shading on it although ideally the finished piece will be much moodier and with transparency and sparkly effects and so on. :D

Technically here, the human male is the knight and the togruta female the padawan, since they're a pair of characters from TGC, but while the guy looks always looks rather scrawny and underfed and the togruta is a much more stately figure of a woman, I might stick a padawan braid on the guy for the sake of this request.

EDIT: Woo, done! I've got a full version and a more interesting crop: let me know which one you like, or if there's anything you want changing.

What I've been up to....

I've been slacking a little on the requests lately... I've been busy with school, mostly. But I've also been working on a few things. Most notably, I have set out to render my most definitive series of portraits of Asok that I have ever done. This series is, in effect, exactly what he looks like. I've included all of his clothes and accessories (including the ones that Hish gave him!). I've put an awful lot of work into these, and now I've left it to Drig to color them!

Edit: I've finally started working on a portrait of my group's current characters. So far I've laid done some lines of Jozzel Drase, the lovable backwater girl with the formidable ax.

Smuggler

Complete request as posted by zavulon_demonia;

"I am requesting an artist to take on my design for a smuggler/ship

Name:
age:23
Race:Corellian
Sex:Male
Height:5'9
Weight:220 (strong stocky frame)
Hair:Brown
eyes:brown
beard:brown
He's the jack Burton of star wars.The only thing I am against is a solo or lando clone he is caucasian and very rough around the edges and by no means handsome more like this guy(who is me anyway)http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=82194640&albumID=0&imageID=739458
.Its a change from the avrage smuggler and such. Becuse why do all smuglers have to be handsome heros why not a real hero for real folk clothes Just the avrage gear for a corellian besides his pistolhttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Cassus_Fett%27s_heavy_blaster_pistol like him it is abit on the used side
his normal hangout is Dexs diner in coco town a real dive. in design hes not a slob but he won't stop to fix his hair in a blaster fight.

The ship is a corellian Light frieghter and is worse off then the falcon the ship it self is called the bantha steak express (a little nudge to kurt russel) which corellian vessel I don't know that I leave up to the artist since my gm will abide by whatever ship the artist chooses thats how bad this ship is on repairs. Just a small gun mount the easy stuff is there.

I really hope you take my request I love all the art but its too nice for this character."

This request has been up on the board since April, so it's probably about time it got done.
I haven't attempted the ship at this point, mostly cause I'm not terribly good at them and, besides, who knows how far he's progressed in his game at this point. I am considering doing a background icon much like the set up used for the Oma Yksilo picture - but we'll see.
Also, as this was basically a Charicature I might leave it as the pencil sketch rather than bother with colour. If the requester comes back after all this time (and a wee prompting email from me) I might load it to Gallery. However, since he was obliging enough to post a picture of himself, I will load that into the blog to save you all from cutting and pasting the address in order to see it.
Aren't I nice?

Derf's Trio - Progress

Yes, I have been working on it. A little.

I redrew the Bothan, and I'm working on the Twi'lek girl now (with Lara Croft style clothes).

When Jedi Clash

A request by Lord Crumb for a scene;

"This request is for a action battle scene between two Jedi Padawans and a Dark Jedi. The fight is taking place on the planet Mygeeto and on the same bridge that Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi is gunned down on in SW:ROTS.

The Jedi Padawans are on a mission, which is serving as their trial, to solve the murder of a Black Sun informer and his family on Dantoonie and have traveled to several planets looking for the killers. The Dark Jedi Sharek Torma was part of a Black Sun Assassination team that killed the informant. The Jedi Padawans were dispatched to solve the murder and retrieve important information about the Black Suns operations in certain parts of the galaxy. The fight is the climax of their search and confrontation with the Dark Jedi."

"The Scene: The Dark Jedi Sharek Torma's back is toward the viewer in a three-quarter view (you can see her right side and her back) with Eerin Lumna the female Zabrak charging toward her. Liam Camwell is behind Eerin Lumna and should be slightly bent over from a wound he has suffered to the mid-section. Although Liam Camwell was the one who had trouble resisting the Dark Side, it is Eerin Luma who has lost control and is close to falling to the Dark Side of the Force. The fight is taking place about midway on the bridge on Mygeeto.

Clothing: The Jedi Padawan should be in Jedi robes or something similar. They were trying for an undercover look.
Sharek Torma should be in the same outfit from previous pic."

I had taken an earlier request for these characters so when this scene came up in the forums I was quite interested. LC wanted to give the other artists a chance to take the request, and I was keen to see another artist's interpretation of these characters, so it's been sitting on the requests board for a wee while now.
However, since the creative juices were flowing at the time, I did draw up the characters for this piece. I tried getting the background in too but however much I tried it just didn't work.

It's been a few months since I've looked at these pictures and a return to the style I used, but I'm gonna give it a go. Hopefully it won't all go pear-shaped...

Vidaa Churaan - Jedi Knight/Historian/Archaeologist

A request by EvilWalks;

"Vidaa Churaan

Description: A young (mid 20s to early 30s) woman of lithe build, Vidaa has a soft angeled face, dark hair which is usually kept up in a neat bun, and blue sapphire eyes. Her robes are elegant, yet practical, and bear the Ansatan patterned designs of the Jedi Historians. Her single bladed lightsaber is also elegant yet practical and the grip is again, marked with Ansatan patterns. It's blade is a bright mint-green.

A trained archaeologist and historian, she usually keeps some basic field equipment nearby, and an archaeologist's satchel, stocked with datacards filled with information, recording devices, and a small kit filled with emergency medical supplies for accidents."

The rest of it is HERE!

Evelyn Tallon-Ravyn

A request from Evangelion;

"... She has adopted a more modern look for herself (doesn't tend to wear robes but something more functional like a jumpsuit or just casual wear that makes it easier for her to blend in) and carries twin sabers that interlock to create a staff when desired. Her sabers carry a look that blends Naboo and Alderaan heritage (I sort of equate it to something that may be rather Roman/Greek or even Elvish in design - an elegant weapon)."

The character is meant to be based on Kate Beckinsale, but I don't really do characatures that well so I don't know how much of a likeness this has turned out to be.
Also, I've gone for a theme of wings here as I'm guessing that she'll be moving towards an 'Evangelion' sort of character. So a touch of the angelic to hint at her future self might not go amiss.

I've emailed the requester so hopefully she'll get back to me on this one!

Daroth Mortanis

A request from DarthMortis;

"I am currently playing a human Force user (Somewhat of a Jedi, but he follows his own code of ethics. Believing that both the sith and the jedi are weak because of their utter refusal to search to the opposite side of the force the use for answers) and I would really appreciate any help I could get with a character sketch/drawing.

Red iris, flecks of electric blue in the rest of his eyes, except for the pupil
About shoulder length black hair
Somewhat pale skin, but not pale to the point of the sith
Somewhere between 6'1-6'5
Lean muscle structure
A black cloak, but having it be tight enough to show his muscles. Preferably with his hood up
2 Lightsabers

I would like to add, one of the lightsabers MUST be crimson for the character. It has already passed in the game and I cannot change that, but feel free to have the other one be whatever color you want.
Also, neither of his handle's are standard looking, so have fun. I personally think of them modeled somewhat after Dooku's lightsabers, having hooks on the end and whatnot. Go crazy"

"I believe the Jedi are weak so they give up their emotions. I believe the Sith are weak so they give up to their emotions. I lay somewhere in the middle, not afraid to keep my emotions, but afraid to lose myself in them." - Daroth Mortanis

So I got a bit carried away and finished the picture already.
I haven't done much with setting or stance or even the rest of his body simply because I think the most interesting part of the request is the colour of his iris, and I didn't want this detail to get lost in the picture.

Anyway - here it is, let me know what you think.
